Welcome

Managed by the Avon Frome Partnership, the Trail runs from Pill in North Somerset to Pulteney Bridge, Bath in England’s west country. It is a medium-distance path of about 23 miles enjoyed by walkers, and in some sections, cyclists and horseriders.

These webpages should give you all the information you need to plan and get the most out of your trip along this fascinating river. Read about the local schools and communities that became involved in the project and view the online guidebook before you set out on the Trail. Along the way, find 15 interpretation boards, such as the one in this photo.

Check the noticeboard for forthcoming events.

Take a Local Journey.

Already walked the Avon? Why not discover the Bristol Frome? You can take the Frome Valley Walkway guidebook with you.
